Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ScriptureFirst mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Recynt Studyz LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using ScriptureFirst, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

ScriptureFirst is a faith-based iOS application that provides daily Scripture challenges, Bible reading plans, a word-by-word memory game, an AI-powered pastoral chat feature (“Ask the Word”), a verse-sharing tool (“Send a Word”), and optional app-blocking features powered by Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@scripturefirst.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You may not share accounts, transfer your account to another person, or use another person's account without authorization.

ScriptureFirst offers a free tier and a premium supporter tier. Premium features are available via the following supporter plans, processed through Apple's App Store:

• Monthly Supporter: $4.99 per month
• Annual Supporter: $39.99 per year (approximately $3.33 per month)

Supporter plans automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your plan at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

Supporter plans may include a free trial period as advertised in the app. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable plan price. Only one free trial is available per Apple ID.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service without our written permission
• Share, sell, sublicense, or resell access to the Service
• Use the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access features you are not entitled to

The “Ask the Word” pastoral AI chat is provided for spiritual encouragement and Bible education only. It is not a substitute for licensed professional counseling, mental health services, medical advice, or ordained pastoral care. AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete — always test them against Scripture and consult a qualified pastor for serious spiritual or personal matters.

We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content. By using this feature, you acknowledge these limitations.

The App Blocker feature uses Apple's FamilyControls framework. By enabling this feature, you authorize ScriptureFirst to use Screen Time APIs on your device. You retain full control and may revoke this authorization at any time in iOS Settings. We are not responsible for any impact on app access or device functionality resulting from your use of this feature.

ScriptureFirst, its branding, UI design, original content, and underlying technology are owned by Recynt Studyz LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RECYNT STUDYZ LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion with reasonable notice where practicable.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at contact@scripturefirst.app. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees already charged, subject to Apple's refund policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
